On a Lighter Note

And what do you think of the so-called Ten Commandments - they were not commandments but "commitments" made by God to the human race.

That reminds me of a story - many many years ago, there was this monastery, where the work of the brothers was to keep making copies of the scriptures and holy writings. A young, new brother, starting on a new copy, asked the ancient father in charge, about checking all these copies against the original. The father said that that hasn't been done for centuries and did not think it necessary. Some days later, they realised that they have not seen the old man for some time and set out to search for him.

Eventually, they found him deep down in the old archives, sobbing and pulling his hair, at his feet, an ancient parchment.

"What's the matter father?" they asked.

"The word is CELEBRATE! Not celibate!"

Celibate = celebrate.

Commandments = commitments.

Interesting play on words. I know this: the God I know does not command.

Thank you, God, for helping me to understand that this problem has already been solved for me.

Now if only I could fully understand HOW to create myself anew, in the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever I held about Who I Am! It is wonderfully and eloquently explained in the books and it makes perfect sense.

We can, simply, change the way we feel, think, emote about ourselves and literally, re-create ourselves - healthy, happy, wealthy and wise. Thank you God for helping me understand how to live and teach others - to thus re-new ourselves into the greatest vision ever we held about Who We Are.

Meanwhile, until that takes effect, let us review what practical measures we can take for our health.
